Nick Gallagher, Managing Director

Nick first joined Invicta in 2007 and following much success as a project manager he was appointed to the Board in December 2013.

He has been an integral part of Invicta’s continued success in recent years, overseeing the successful delivery numerous large and complex projects, including district heating schemes, and deservedly took over as Managing Director in 2022

Nick has also developed excellent working relationships with all of the company’s clients and is respected for his honesty and professionalism. He can be relied upon to develop innovative solutions to resolve unforeseen challenges that all too often arise in construction works.

Nick is an avid Spurs supporter, trying to attend most home games, and he also enjoys spending time with his wife and  family.

Ian Betts, Health and Safety / Customer Services Manager

Ian has responsibility for 2 key areas of the the business delivering excellence to our clients.

As our Nebosh qualified Health and Safety Manager he assumes responsibility for our compliance in all relevant areas, including preparing Construction Phase Plans, working on risk assessment, making regular site inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, attending pre visits to identify site risks, meeting clients Health and Safety managers.

His second hat is as our Customer Services Manager supporting our site Resident Liaison Officers to offer a service that goes above and beyond expectation. His goal is to keep the RLOs trained and supported so that the client and residents receive the best possible service and this is reflected in our Key Performance Indicators at the end of each project.

Ian is a family man with 2 lovely daughters and a secondary passion for Liverpool FC although his colleagues don’t hold this against him.

David Barker, Domestic Operations Director

David joined Invicta in early 2004 shortly after inception to run the two largest projects at that time, and is currently responsible primarily for the projects involving installation in domestic properties.

He took a break from Invicta but returned in 2015 as project manager before his promotion to Domestic Operations Director in late 2023.

He started in the industry in 1997 and has extensive experience in a large variety of projects ranging from domestic heating installations, district heating schemes and boiler house refurbishments, energy efficient upgrades, and kitchen, bathroom and electrical upgrade projects.

He has successfully delivered projects on behalf of multiple clients including London and Quadrant, Southern Housing, Clarion Housing, Catalyst Housing (now Peabody), Leathermarket JMB, the London Boroughs of Camden, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark, with projects ranging in value up to £7.2m.

As Domestic Operations Director he plays a key role overseeing the site teams to ensure the installations are completed according to the agreed program, to the standard required by the client, and his background in accountancy ensures he has tight financial control to achieve the budgetary requirements of the tender.

He is a lifetime Arsenal fan, but other interests include playing snooker, fish keeping and aquascaping, but proudly states that his greatest pride and joy is his granddaughter, Ivy.

Mark Brewster, Commercial Operations Director

Mark has worked in the HVAC industry since 1990 and been involved in a large variety of M & E projects ranging from Office Refurbishments, CAT A fit-outs, New Build contracts, District Heating,  Occupied dwelling refurbishment, Education, Healthcare, Sheltered Housing, and many more. This work has been undertaken in the Commercial, Industrial and Private Sectors.

Mark has project experience and contacts with many London Boroughs including Camden, Hounslow, Lambeth, Southwark, and project values ranging from £100,000 to £1.4 million.

Anyone who has worked with Mark would testify to his meticulous attention to detail and ability to identify fresh solutions to a problem, and to present thorough analysis to his business partners and colleagues alike.

When not at work Mark enjoys playing in a competitive badminton league.

Steve Gosden, Head of Estimating

Steve’s career started in 1980 in a 5 year apprenticeship with Matthew Hall in London.

He is qualified to Higher National Certificate in building services which was completed at Croydon College in 1985.

He is Ensign Estimating software trained, and has previously used Estimation software. During his career he has held Corgi and Gas Safe certification, along with Hot Water Systems Safety/Unvented Certificates.

He has had various roles within the Mechanical Services industry including Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Estimator and has also carried installations of types.

He has experience in commercial estimating of CATA & CAT B offices, hotels, universities, schools, leisure centres, Large Domestic Dwellings etc, across London and the South East.

During a 43 year career has worked for 6no Mechanical Services companies mainly based in the South East, but was also the Contracts Manager for a Manchester based company from 2005-2012, taking care of their projects in the SE Region.

Projects that Steve has managed have ranged from £50,000 to £5M across the sectors as previously described.

He is certainly a seasoned professional in the Mechanical Services Sector and we are pleased to have him as our Estimating Manager.

He is an avid Liverpool supporter and has a passion for a number of sports of which Golf is at the top.

Roger Alderton, Head of Design

Roger is a dedicated and practical designer with over 30 years’ experience in the industry. He has a thorough and methodical approach to building services design and offers effective leadership skills and develops strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.

He began his career with an apprenticeship provided by the Civil Service through the Department of the Environment Property Services Agency and following qualification, joined a multi-disciplined design team assigned to RAF establishments across the country. More recently he has served with both mechanical design consultants and main contractors, which has given him an excellent overall understanding of design expectations throughout the industry.

Since starting with Invicta in 2011, Roger has provided a full design service to all design and build projects on behalf of the company and he manages the commercial design provided by our design consultants. He offers an invaluable technical service to our project installation teams.

Roger is a keen supporter of rugby union, especially the England national team who he has seen at Twickenham on many occasions, he is also a supporter of his local rugby club, Aylesford Bulls.

Kerrie Gallagher, Office Manager

Kerrie has been an integral part of the company since 2012.

She is the prime point of contact for all Head Office administrative issues, telephones, fleet, maintenance, and also oversees the company’s construction site offices.

On top of these responsibilities Kerrie manages the IT aspects of the company’s operations to guarantee continuity of service.

She combines these duties with her role as Company Secretary.

When not in the office she is a doting mother and can often be seen taking her children to dance competitions.
