Invicta Building Services were delighted to work with the Royal Borough of Greenwich on the plantroom refurbishment at James Wolfe School Royal Hill Campus.
The project included the isolation, disconnection, strip out and safe disposal of all existing boiler plant service equipment and pipe work.
The provision and installation of 2 new Hamworthy gas fired condensing boilers with replacement individual flue systems.
Additionally, we installed a new condensate drainage system to the boilers and flues. We altered the existing gas installations to supply gas services to the new condensing boilers.
Other works included: new primary loop, VT circulation and CT circulation pumps, new air separator for the heating system, 2 new domestic hot water calorifiers, TRV guards on all the TRVs, new pipework arrangement including a two-port valve from the existing heat pump to the new calorifier, new BMS control system housed within a Motor Control Panel.
We validated and recommissioned the ASHP controls as required, and retained all pipework related to the air source heat pumps and primary pipework to the plate heat exchanger.
All works took place during the summer holiday and were completed before the school reopened for the new term.
