Apprentice Leon talks to us about his learning
During National Apprentice Week it seems only right to update on the progress of Leon, one of our apprentices. I sat down with Leon to review his progress and he was really positive about how it was going. He is learning a lot at college and we have funded a First Aid at Work course and #UKATA Asbestos Awareness course for him. Leon feels it is the varied hands-on experience that he has gained while supporting the teams on different projects that has been the most invaluable. Leon said “I’ve supported engineers installing equipment and arranged appointments for various teams to complete their works. I have also become the call out expert on #altecnic HIUs and #Danfoss thermostats, I think one of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is that hard work and knowledge is vitally important but, ultimately in our world, making sure that the residents are treated well is our number one priority on all projects because that’s what we get judged upon the most”
