With design responsibility, Invicta are renewing the central district heating scheme serving the large estate, and during the first phase of the project installing individual combi boilers in 83 of the homes. This will provide all residents with more efficient and cost-effective heating and services.
Work on the first phase commenced in July 2020 during the first Lockdown and it is programmed for completion in late 2021.
The second phase, the renewal of the central district heating scheme, including distribution network to over 300 dwellings, commenced in January 2021.
The majority of works are carried out with the additional constraint placed upon the company with the need to fully comply with the Covid-19 regulations.
The total contract value is £7m.
We work closely with and welcome the opportunity to further develop our partnership with the London Borough of Camden.
Here’s some feedback from grateful residents –
“The new heating system has really helped my elderly mother throughout this winter. Communication was impeccable with Invicta, and I must praise the workmanship, very professional and tried to clear up along the way. Thank you to Jess and the team”.
Mrs K and family.
“The quality of the works carried out installing the HIU by the Invicta Team to my residence was exceptional. All the staff were very professional at all times, from the office staff, tradesmen to the labourers.
I am more than happy with all the work that has been carried out and am happy to recommend that all the staff worked diligently.
My work was carried out in under 4 working days, which I was very happy about”

An important step
A great moment for all of us involved in the project as Invicta took receipt of the 3 brand new Hoval Ultra-Gas double boilers for the Headcorn plant room on the St Silas Estate on behalf of the London Borough of Camden.
An important step to upgrading the whole system on the estate giving residents heating and hot water for many years to come.
The long-awaited 3 Hoval Ultra-Gas (1440D) gas-condensing double boilers were commissioned which will see the 340 properties in Chalk Farm receive hot water and heating for many years to come.
